For a book lover like me, nothing can ever be so relaxing and fulfilling than being inside bookstores, piling books one top of another in a tray and waiting in line for my turn to pay at the cashier. Of course, the next best thing would be having to stay all day inside my room, reading them all. Wow, that’s what I call paradise.
Now, I’ve had finished reading two books: The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory and Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami. I still have two new ones left, namely Atonement and Memoirs of a Geisha.
New books are fascinating as they bring in a sense of excitement with their unexpected twists and turns. But, there will always be those books that I love reading over and over.
Books I love:
Jostein Gaarder’s Solitaire Mystery
Sophie’s World
Plum Skye’s Bergdorf Blonde
Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code
Angels and Demons
Anderson Cooper’s Dispatches from the Edge
Philippa Gregory’s Constant Princess
Kafka’s The Metamorphosis
JD Salinger’s Catcher in the Rye
Books I am longing to have:
Taleb’s The Black Swan
Bernstein and Woodward’s All the President’s Men
Neil Gaiman books
I have this attitude of being possessive when it comes to my books. I may relatively own tons right now and I get so pissed off upon remembering that there are some people who didn’t even bother to return my books until now. Well, lesson learned. I’ll never allow my beloved possessions be borrowed from me especially when they are my most loved ones.
Who knows, I might have my own little library someday. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
