Just like what I felt about teaching – I used to say that I couldn’t amass a huge amount of patience to teach an individual. But then when I tried to explore that profession, I never thought that it gives a different kind of fulfilment.
I never liked cooking. I only know how to cook rice and fry hotdogs and eggs and sometimes I still screw up doing such tasks. But last weekend, I was at Makati Supermart with my family when I saw this display of baking ingredients. Then I saw a chocolate cake on one of boxes there. I told myself I just want to try baking something like that. What I did was I bought ingredients for a chocolate cake and a brownie. That evening, I made my first ever chocolate cake. I am proud to say that people who tasted it liked the cake. The next day, I made a chocolate brownie. I thought I screwed up because it was too soft and it didn’t take the shape of the baking pan so I put it in the fridge. It did taste good when it got cooled. On that same day, I saw another recipe of a blueberry muffin in a blog. I went hurriedly to the grocery shop and bought the ingredients. My family liked it and I enjoy the feeling of mixing things and baking them. So, I guess I’m obsessed now to bake.
I didn’t get the chance to take a picture of my first two masterpieces. But here’s the third one I made last week. I loved it. Everyone’s requesting me to bake something again this weekend! I’m still choosing between cherry cheesecake or chocolate muffin. Well, I can do both! hehe yum, yum =P
